I swore keypads by the front door were dumb, then I spent a day at a retirement home in Tucson
I always pushed for the keypad out by the garage or a hidden spot because that is what the customer usually asks for. But the manager at a 55 plus place in Tucson showed me how many of her folks cannot reach the door in time or forget the code once they are outside in the heat. She had me mount one at chest height right inside the entry, so they arm it on their way out the door and disarm the second they walk in. Now I ask about who lives there and how they move before I pick a spot. Anyone else changed where they mount the main keypad based on the person using it?
