I finally switched from wireless to hardwired sensors after 5 years of false alarms
After chasing ghost alerts on a $2,500 residential install in Phoenix last month, I got so fed up with the wireless interference I swapped every sensor to hardwired and haven't had a single false trip since - anyone else ditch wireless for good?

Oh man, tell me about it. I did the exact same thing last year after my dog set off a motion detector because a fly landed on it. Three times. In one night. Hardwired stuff is just dead simple and it actually works, no guessing games when the weather changes or the neighbor gets a new WiFi router. I don't miss those 2am "is it a burglar or is it the garage door opener" moments one bit.

The "is it a burglar or is it the garage door opener" bit hits way too close to home. I spent a whole summer convinced someone was casing my house, turns out it was just my neighbor's smart sprinkler system rebooting every night at 2am. I felt like such a dummy when I finally figured it out. Hardwired stuff is like a trusty old pickup truck, it just goes and goes without any drama. My current setup is basically a bunch of wired sensors and a siren that's probably older than half the people on this forum, but it's never let me down once.
