Back in 2015 I had to choose between wired and wireless for a big retrofit job

It was a three story house in the historic district, all plaster and lath. The owner wanted a full system but refused any visible wires. I could either try to fish wire through those walls for days, or go with a wireless panel and sensors. I picked wireless, a Qolsys panel, and it took me two days instead of a week. The range was solid, even on the third floor. Honestly, I was nervous it would be flaky, but that system is still running today. Anyone else have a retrofit that pushed you to switch your usual method?

Yeah, it feels like a lot of older tech gets more reliable right when you finally give up on it and switch to the new wireless stuff.

Ever wonder if the old tech knows we're leaving, @dakota479? Like it finally decides to work right just to mess with us.
