Went to a small repair shop in Phoenix last week

Noticed they were using zip ties on every single wire bundle in a Cessna 172. Has anyone else seen shops move away from lacing cord like that?

Heavens no, zip ties on aircraft wiring is just asking for trouble down the road.

You ever tried getting a zip tie off after it's been baking in the heat for a year? Nightmare fuel. Just use lacing tape, way easier to maintain.
