The ramp guy in Phoenix caught my torque wrench out of cal and I've checked every one since
I was doing a flap change on a 737 at Sky Harbor about 4 months ago and the lead came over to watch me finish up. He grabbed my torque wrench, looked at the sticker, and said 'this thing expired in March.' I had been using it on the whole job. We had to pull the fasteners and redo the whole thing, cost us 6 hours and a bunch of grief with the shift swap. Now I check the cal sticker before I even open my box in the morning. Anyone else get burned by an out of date tool and what do you do to keep track?
