Showerthought: I stopped gagging .032 safety wire with my old Milbar and bought the $85 twist pliers
For 12 years I did every safety wire run by hand with a $30 Milbar 25W, and my wrists hated me after a 6 hour spar job in Wichita. Bought a set of reversible twist pliers for $85 last spring and I will never go back to the old way on anything over 6 inches. The tail trimming is cleaner, the twist is tighter, and I am not fighting pigtails that look like a rat chewed them. Only downside is the pliers do not fit in some tight spots, so the old Twister still rides in my bag. What does everyone else keep in their box for the runs you cannot reach with pliers?
