Saw a 737 with a really strange patch job on the wing root at the Tucson airport last month. What's the weirdest repair you've ever seen?

Oh man, that sounds like they used duct tape and a prayer.

The "duct tape and a prayer" thing is pretty accurate honestly. I had this old hatchback where the exhaust pipe rusted out, and I ended up wrapping it in this special heat-resistant tape I found at an auto parts store. It held for like six months until I could save up for the real fix. Not gonna lie, it looked janky as heck but it got me to work and back every day without any trouble.
