Rant: Overheard a pilot at the FBO say 'just kick the tire' about a gear warning light

He was joking, obviously, but it made me think about how often we have to explain that our job is a bit more involved than that. Ever get a weird request that just shows a total gap in understanding?

Yeah I used to think people were exaggerating about how common it is but then a buddy showed me some CDC numbers and it's honestly way higher than I ever guessed. Definitely changed my mind on that one.
