I just don't get the hype about that big avionics shop in Orlando

Everyone at my last job swore by Avionics Plus down in Orlando for their Garmin installs. I spent three days there last month watching them rush a 430W harness and left with a bad feeling. Has anyone else had a messy job come out of there, or was I just unlucky?

Yeah that place rushed my panel work too, nothing but headaches since.

I read somewhere that the FAA actually flagged that shop for a couple of maintenance record issues a few years back... is that still something they're dealing with? @mitchell.dakota I saw your comment too, sounds like we both got the same rushed treatment. The harness they crammed in my panel had wires just flopping around loose, and the crimps looked like someone did 'em with a pair of pliers. Took me a whole weekend to redo it myself just to feel safe flying again. That kind of sloppy work makes you wonder what else they cut corners on, you know?
