Used to roast anyone who air fried frozen chicken wings, then I tried them at 400F for 25 mins

I always thought frozen wings would come out soggy and sad compared to fresh, but my buddy threw some in his basket straight from the bag and they came out crispy as hell. No thawing, no oil, just shake halfway through. Has anyone else found a frozen food that actually works better than fresh in the air fryer?

My sister was the same way with frozen veggies. She'd always roast fresh broccoli but one night she was out and grabbed a frozen bag, tossed it in the air fryer with some salt and garlic powder, and it came out way crispier than fresh ever did. I think there's a bigger thing here about how we assume fresh is always better when sometimes the freezing process actually helps with texture. Like frozen foods are basically pre-cooked in a way that locks in moisture but then the air fryer does this perfect job of drying the outside out. It feels like one of those things where we've been told our whole lives that fresh is king, but the reality is a lot of frozen stuff just hits different in an air fryer because of how it's already been processed. Maybe it's just me but I've noticed that trend with fries too, frozen ones get way crispier than homemade ones.

Wait, are we actually arguing that frozen food is better than fresh? @evaperez, I feel like she's drinking the air fryer kool-aid a little too hard. I'll take fresh broccoli any day, even if it's a little less crispy.
