That frozen veggie trick from a bus driver in Denver

I was on the bus last week and overheard this guy telling his buddy to toss frozen broccoli straight into the air fryer without thawing, just add a splash of oil and some garlic powder. I tried it that night with a bag I had sitting for months, and it came out crispy in 10 minutes at 380. Usually I boil or microwave it and get mush, so this was a total game changer for quick sides. Anyone else have a go-to frozen veg that cooks better from frozen than fresh?
