That air fryer popcorn trick that went wrong at my sister's house
I was at my sister's place last Saturday and she tried making popcorn in her air fryer using a paper bag with kernels. I heard a loud bang and the whole kitchen filled with smoke because the bag caught fire at 400 degrees. Has anyone else had a close call with air fryer popcorn or am I the only one who sticks to the microwave now?

Oh man, that "loud bang" part really got me. I tried the exact same thing last year and the bag went up like a torch, had to air out my apartment for two days. So yeah, stick to the microwave, seriously not worth the smoke alarm meltdown.

Man, not to pile on @james_ross but are we acting like a little smoke is some huge disaster? I've set off my smoke detector just making toast. It's not that deep.
