That $30 bag of frozen wings changed how I use my air fryer

Got a 5 pound bag of party wings for $30 at Costco and my air fryer cooks them in 20 minutes without any oil, but am I missing something on getting the skin extra crispy?

I got a bag of those same Kirkland wings last month and hit 400F for 20 minutes flipping halfway through, but the skin came out just okay. What really did it for me was patting them dry with paper towels first, then tossing them in a tiny bit of baking powder and salt before they hit the basket. Also, try not crowding them too much, I did two batches instead of one and the second batch got way crispier. Let them rest a couple minutes after the timer goes off too, that steam escaping helps the skin firm up.

Brother really wrote an entire lab report on chicken wings like he's testing for the FDA. @caseywest is out here acting like he discovered fire with some baking powder and paper towels. It's chicken wings, not rocket science. If you want crispy skin, just cook them longer and don't crowd the basket, it's not that deep. People act like air frying is some sacred art form when it's literally just a tiny convection oven.
