Swapped out my old fry basket for a new mesh tray and cut cooking time by 8 minutes on the same chicken thighs

Used to just dump everything in the basket and hope for the best, but after grabbing a $12 mesh tray from the hardware store last Tuesday, I got way better airflow and even browning without flipping anything halfway through - has anyone else tried switching up their trays like that?
