My neighbor told me to always soak my air fryer basket before cleaning it.
She said it would make the grease come off easier, but after I tried it last week, the basket started to look dull and spotted. Has anyone else had this happen, and what's a better way to clean a really greasy basket?

Yeah, the vinegar idea is solid. I do a half water, half vinegar soak for maybe 20 minutes, then scrub with a soft brush. That combo usually gets the grease off without leaving those weird spots.

Soaking it is the only way I can get mine clean. That dull look might just be hard water spots, not from the soak. Have you tried adding a little vinegar to the water? Cuts the grease without the spots.
