My brother swore frozen fries needed a spray of vinegar before air frying
He said it would make them crisp like the ones from our local diner, so I tried it on a bag of store brand crinkle cuts. They came out soggy and tasted weird, not crispy at all. Has anyone actually had luck with a trick like that, or was he just messing with me?

Tried that once, just patting them dry with a paper towel first worked way better for crispiness.
