Hit 100 straight days of air fryer dinners and my grocery bill dropped by $80 a month
My air fryer got delivered on March 3rd and I told myself I would use it at least 5 nights a week instead of ordering out. I actually stuck with it, and tonight marks 100 days in a row of cooking dinner in it. The biggest surprise is the money. I usually spent about $340 a month on takeout and frozen meals, and this month I came in at $260, so that's $80 I didn't hand over to delivery apps. My go to has been chicken thighs with whatever veg is in the fridge, 400 degrees for 20 minutes, flip once. My wife said the other night that she has not missed the pizza place at all, which I did not expect. Has anyone else tracked how much their grocery bill changed after they started cooking in one of these?
How much did your electric bill go up though? Everyone talks about the grocery savings but that thing runs every night. Still cheaper than delivery, so you're winning either way.
