Fresh vs frozen broccoli in the air fryer - big difference

I finally tested fresh broccoli florets versus a bag of frozen ones side by side. Threw them both in at 375 for 8 minutes. The fresh ones came out crispy on the edges with some char marks. The frozen ones were soggy and watery even after extra time. I stuck with fresh ever since. Just toss them in a little oil and salt first. Makes a huge crunch difference. Anyone else find frozen veggies just don't crisp up the same?

Honestly my air fryer has been just for tater tots and chicken wings lately lol. I tried frozen green beans once and they came out like sad little twigs, never again. Fresh is definitely the way to go for anything with a crunch factor.

Man I had a buddy who tried doing frozen broccoli in his air fryer and he said they came out like little crunchy rocks. He had to dip them in ranch just to choke them down lol.
