Bought a $50 air fryer liner set that melted on day one
Picked up those silicone liners from Amazon thinking they'd save me cleanup time, but the first batch of chicken wings at 400 degrees fused the thing to the basket. Took me 45 minutes scraping melted rubber off with a spatula. Anyone else had cheap accessories ruin a meal?

Read somewhere the cheap ones have fillers that can't handle real heat even at the rated temp.

Honestly the problem might not be the liner itself but the temperature rating. Most silicone stuff says "safe up to 450F" but that's for like... just sitting in heat. Not pressed against a hot metal basket with direct contact. I had the same thing happen with silicone muffin cups in my toaster oven - totally melted at 375 because they were touching the heating element. Check if your air fryer runs hot too because mine hits 430 even when set to 400. Melted liners are a scam either way but at least you know it's not just you buying the wrong thing.
