Bought a $19 air fryer rack on Amazon and it rusted after 4 washes in Kent
Just a heads up for anyone loading up their basket. I grabbed a $19 stackable rack for my 5.8 quart fryer back in April and by the third week the coating was flaking off onto my wings. I live in Kent and our water is hard, so maybe that sped it up, but the listing said dishwasher safe and it clearly was not. What are you all using for a second layer that actually holds up past a month?
That really stinks, flaking coating is the worst because you can't even tell until it's already on your food. Hard water does seem to eat through cheap nonstick fast, so it's probably not just you. Hope you find something that lasts, a rusty rack after three weeks is a total ripoff.
