Warning: Tried to get a photo of the old fountain at the Galleria and my flash just made it look flat

I mean, the whole vibe was this cool blue light from a skylight, but my camera made it look like a gray puddle. Anyone know a better way to shoot those dim food courts without wrecking the mood?

Oh man, the flash is the problem! Try turning it off and using a longer exposure on your phone's pro mode.

But what if the room is just too dark without it? My hands aren't that steady either. Would a longer exposure even work without a tripod? Seems like it would just end up blurry.

Yeah, shaky hands are my problem with long exposures too.
