Took my old film camera to the dead mall in Peoria and got a weird surprise
Everyone says you need a tripod for those long exposure shots in dark places... so I tried hand-holding a 2-second shot in the old food court. The photo came out with this crazy, wavy blur from a flickering exit sign I didn't even notice, and it looks way more interesting than my usual sharp pictures. I learned that sometimes the 'wrong' way can show you something the right way misses. Has anyone else gotten a cool shot by accident in a place like that?

Try shooting the whole roll like that.

Actually, you don't always need a tripod. You can brace the camera on a railing or a bench, or even just hold your breath and lean against a wall. That's how I got a four second shot of an old theater stage. The blur from a shaky hand can be cool, but sometimes you just need a little more control to get the shot you actually want.

Ngl it's kinda like how @dakotaknight said, that steady hand thing works for more than just photos, it's the same in life when you just need to hold still and wait for things to line up.
