Took me 4 hours to get into the old Willowbrook Mall in Houston

I tried going through the main entrance but it was chained up. Then I found a broken window in the back near the old food court, but a security truck pulled up before I could climb in. I waited him out for 2 hours hiding behind some bushes, then finally got in through a loading dock door that was just left open. Has anyone else spent way longer than expected just trying to get inside a dead mall?

Read somewhere that mall security gets paid double for night shifts.

Honestly yeah that checks out. I worked mall security for a bit a few years back and the night shift rate was almost double. It wasn't like a huge mall though, just a small one in a kinda sketchy area, so I think they wanted to make sure someone would actually show up. Ngl the pay bump was the only reason I took it, the actual work was just sitting around watching cameras for 8 hours. Tbh I'd do it again if they offered the same deal.
