Took a UV flashlight to an old mall food court, found a surprise

Hit up the dead Galleria in Dayton last weekend with my kids. Brought a UV flashlight to check for hidden stains or old paint. Turns out the whole tile floor near the old fountain glowed like crazy. Looked like someone dumped a huge soda spill back when it closed in 2009. Lesson learned, UV light shows stuff regular flashlights miss. Anyone else tried that trick on a mall floor before?

Ha! So the "surprise" was just a 14 year old Mountain Dew volcano. Classic. I bet that tile was basically fossilized syrup at this point, probably has its own food chain growing on it. Honestly, I'm more impressed you found a UV flashlight that still worked than anything else, those things die faster than the mall did.
