Three years ago I found a working arcade machine in the old food court

Back around 2020 I was poking around the abandoned Galleria on the east side of town. The food court was completely empty except this one Street Fighter II cabinet still plugged into the wall. I swear somebody had been using it recently because the screen was warm and a quarter was sitting on the player 1 side. I took a ton of pictures but my buddy called me crazy for not trying to haul it out. Has anyone else stumbled onto something that was still running in a dead mall?

Used to think people were making up stories about finding stuff still running in abandoned places. But then I saw a Golden Tee machine lit up in a closed down bowling alley near my place. That changed my mind real quick.

Man that's wild. I had the same thing happen at an old roller rink outside of town that shut down like 8 years ago. Walked past it last winter and saw the neon sign for the snack bar still flickering in the window. Not bright, just barely glowing, like it was waiting for someone to order a hot dog. Didn't even think about it until I saw your post, but now I can't stop wondering how that sign is still getting power.
