That old mall fountain picture everyone posts is actually from 2015

I keep seeing people share a photo of the big fountain at the Oakwood Mall atrium claiming they took it last week, but I was there 9 years ago and snapped the exact same shot before the tiles cracked. The lighting and water pattern are identical, just someone recycling old pics for upvotes. Am I the only one who notices this stuff or does nobody actually check dates anymore?

Nah you're definitely not wrong about people just reposting old stuff for attention. I see it all the time on local groups too where someone will dig up a five year old photo of a storm or traffic jam and claim it's current. The worst is when they don't even bother changing the caption or cropping out the timestamp. At this point I just assume half the stuff I see online is recycled unless there's a clear date or something that proves it's new. Oakwood Mall fountain is a classic example though everyone's seen that tile crack and the weird green water stain a hundred times already.
