Has anyone else gotten advice that completely shifted how you document these places?
Your friend gave you great advice. I used to do the same thing, trying to make everything look perfect and new in my photos. It felt like I was only telling half the story. Now I look for the worn out spots and the small things that are broken. Those details show how a place has really been used and lived in. It makes the whole picture feel more true and complete.
