I chose the dark food court over the light one at Randall Park Mall

Went to Randall Park Mall last month and had to pick between two food courts. The old one under the skylight was trashed with mold everywhere, so I went to the windowless one near the arcade. That place had these creepy clown murals from the 80s and a broken ice cream machine still humming. Anyone else ever pick the creepier option and regret it?

The creepy murals part is what would have gotten me. An ice cream machine humming is bad enough, but murals from the 80s that someone had to actually paint? That means some person sat there and decided those clowns needed to be on the wall permanently. I bet the light had that weird flickering tube light that makes everything look green. Probably smelled like old fryer grease and mildew too. At least the moldy one had natural light, even if the mold was bad. The hum from the broken machine would have driven me crazy after five minutes, like a horror movie waiting to happen.

I did the same thing at a mall in Columbus last year and honestly the dark one was way better, the mold smell got to me faster than the creepy vibes lol. Put some earbuds in and the humming ice cream machine just becomes background noise.
