Got a perfect shot of the old food court fountain at Valley View Mall

I went back to Valley View Mall last Saturday, the one that closed in 2019, and I finally got a clear photo of that big fountain in the center. The water has been drained for years and there's this greenish moss growing in the bottom that catches the light from the skylight in a way I never expected. After like 4 trips trying to get the angle right, I just stood there for 10 minutes waiting for the sun to hit it just so and it worked. Has anyone else had luck with natural lighting in those dead malls or is it just me?

Dead malls hit different when the sun breaks through like that.

Walked through the old Crystal Mall in Waterford last summer around 2pm. That light coming through the skylights made the empty food court feel almost peaceful, not sad.
