A security guard at the dying Chesterfield Mall told me to stop posting my entry points, and he was right
Back in October I posted a walkthrough of an old Sears wing in Richmond with the exact stairwell and loading dock door I slipped through, mostly because I wanted people to see the flooded food court. A retired guard who used to work that property messaged me and said I basically handed a map to every kid with a flashlight and a crowbar. Three days later someone pried that same dock door open and set a fire in a clothing rack, and mall management boarded the whole wing for good. I felt sick about it. Now I wait at least a month before sharing anything, crop out landmarks and signs, and I never name the access point, just the general area. If a place still has active security, I ask first or skip it. Has anyone else had a spot get wrecked after they posted about it?
